FAA’s Industry Drug and Alcohol Testing Program

At Chip’s Custom Painting, we have strict drug and alcohol testing programs to ensure our employees are aligned with our policies, and that they adhere to the government’s program.

We participate in the FAA’s Drug and Alcohol Testing Program, in which the FAA performs on-site inspections and provides guidance to our company to establish solid policies and procedures. The Drug Abatement Division oversees the aviation industry’s compliance with the drug and alcohol testing law and regulations.(1)

Why is this so important, and how affective is this program? According to the U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary, Anthony R. Foxx, “… We have, over time, seen the number of crashes and accidents linked to drug and alcohol use by safety-sensitive employees decline… Safety is our highest priority and we are committed to ensuring that transportation employees are drug and alcohol free”.

We understand the importance of safety in the workplace, and we have a great responsibility to our clients and our team to keep our workplace drug-free. We are proud to participate in this program in order to keep our skies safe.
